The short version: Thaw works without an account, your sessions live on your phone, and we collect as little as we can get away with.
What stays on your phone
Your routines, your session history, your streak and your plan are stored locally. The app is fully usable with no account and no network. If you never sign in, none of it reaches us.
What we collect
- Usage events. Which screens you reach and which routines you complete, tied to a random device identifier rather than your name.
- Purchases. Handled by Apple, Google or Stripe. We see that a purchase happened and what it was for, never your card details.
- Crash reports. Technical details of a failure, so we can fix it.
- Attribution. If you arrived from an ad, which ad it was.
What we do not collect
No photographs, no video, no audio, no location, no contacts, and no health data from Apple Health. If you enable Health, Thaw writes completed sessions to it and reads nothing back.
Anything you tell us about your body
The areas you ask us to protect are used to choose and soften stretches. They are stored with your plan and are deleted when you delete your data.
Who we share with
Only the services that run Thaw: analytics, crash reporting, subscription management, payment processing and hosting. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.
Deleting everything
You: Settings → Delete my data, which clears the phone immediately. If you have an account, that request also removes anything we hold. Or email hello@thawdaily.com and we will do it for you.
